Ambassador Lagoon
Discover the Ambassador Lagoon at The Lost Chambers Aquarium—Dubai’s largest open-air marine display with sharks, rays, and ancient-themed ruins.

Brief History: Part of the original Atlantis, The Palm resort opened in 2008, the Ambassador Lagoon was designed to be the centerpiece of The Lost Chambers Aquarium, showcasing the grandeur of the mythical Atlantis. Notable Features: Holding 11 million liters of seawater, it houses sharks, rays, and vibrant schools of fish. The design emulates sunken Atlantean ruins with submerged stone structures, temple-like pillars, and coral-covered artifacts, offering visitors the feeling of walking through an underwater archaeological site. Fun Fact: It’s one of the largest open-air aquariums in the Middle East, and certified divers can actually dive inside among the marine creatures. Current Use: Guests view the lagoon through massive viewing panels and underwater tunnels. It's a popular photo spot and often features in marine education programs and special events. Visitors should avoid flash photography and refrain from tapping on the glass.
